About Faces of Courage

We Are Faces of Courage

Faces of Courage Foundation, Inc. is a locally based, nationally known nonprofit 501(c)3 in Tampa,  FL that was founded by Peggie D. Sherry on January 6, 2004. FOC provides day outings, educational workshops, and medically supervised overnight camps for women, children, and families touched by all types of Cancer and Blood  Disorders.

All programs are made available to the participants and their families at no cost. Our services are palliative in support and focus on developing strong positive attitudes towards recovery and good health management. We currently have served over 11,000 cancer families with the help of over 1,600+ active volunteers.

We are able to provide our programs FREE at No Cost to participants through the generosity of corporate sponsors, civic, social and service organizations, individual donors, grants, fundraisers and bequests.

While members naturally support one another, Faces of Courage is a camp, not a support group. Advice and help is readily available, but the organization primarily focuses on creating a fun, relaxed environment for women, men and children with cancer and other blood illnesses. Each camp and/or program aims to create an environment free of judgment for campers to take a break from the everyday stresses of overcoming their illnesses.
